Blepharoplasty Patient 27
Previous Patient Next PatientConservative Skin Only Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty
This Seattle blepharoplasty patient was having problems with her upper eyelids getting progressively more droppy and blocking her upper vision. Dr. Lamperti noted that she had developed excess upper eyelid skin that was hanging downward toward her eyelashes and hindering her upper visual fields. This finding was confirmed on visual field testing. Dr. Lamperti then corrected the problem using a skin only upper eyelid blepharoplasty technique. This involved placing an incision in her existing upper eyelid crease and then grasping the excess skin to mark the upper incision. Special care was taken to fuly address the patient's lateral hooding where her drooping was the most severe and bothersome. In the 4 month after photos you can see how the patient now has a clean natural appearing upper eyelid with improved upper eyelid show. On the oblique angle photos you can best see the improved lateral hooding and appreciate how much more awake and rested the patient appears.
