Functional Male Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

This male Seattle blepharoplasty patient was referred to Dr. Lamperti by his optometrist regarding his drooping upper eyelid skin which was blocking his vision. Dr. Lamperti performed visual field testing confirming the severity of the problem and the patient then underwent upper eyelid blepharoplasty to remove the excess upper eyelid skin. Dr. Lamperti used a conservative approach in which only skin was removed, maintaining the underlying eyelid muscles. Dr. Lamperti was also careful not to feminize the patient's apperance. As you can see in the after photos taken about 3 months after surgery, the patient now has much improved upper eyelid show and no more visual field blockage from the drooping skin.
