Facial Fat Insertion Due to Excess Upper Eyelid Skin 

This Bellevue facial fat grafting patient was having trouble seeing due to excess upper eyelid skin. In addition to treating this problem he also wanted to improve his significant lower eyelid bags. Dr. Lamperti also noted that the patient also had signs of lower eyelid and cheek fat loss. This fat atrophy acentuated the lower eyelid bags by creating a deep shadow in the lower eyelid and cheek transition zone. Dr. Lamperti performed a combined upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty and fat grafting. Dr. Lamperti harvested fat from the patient's abdomen and then, after isolating the fat cells, injected the fat into his cheek area to soften the transition from the lower eyelid to cheek. You can see how following surgery there is improved hollowing the cheeks and a improved transition from the lower eyelid onto the midface and cheek region. The after photos show results approximately 6 months following surgery.
