Reconstructive Left Cheek Facial Fat Grafting To Repair War Injury

This Seattle area fat grafting patient suffered a severe facial injury while serving in the military during the Vietnam War. He required extensive surgery after his initial injury but was left with signficant fat atrophy of his left cheek soft tissues which made it more difficuly for him to fully close his left eye. To better support his lower eyelid and to improvehis symmetry Dr. Lamperti harvested fat from the patient's abdomen and transfered the processed fat cells into the patient's left cheek. In the 3 year after photos you can see how the patient has improve facial wasting to the left cheek region along with less droopy cheek skin (no excess skin had been removed during surgery). The patient also notes improved eyelid closure and eye pain.
