How much does a facelift, necklift, or neck liposuction cost?
The precise cost of facelift or necklift surgery depends on the exact procedures performed and extent of surgery needed. After your in-office examination you will receive a price quote for the treatments that Dr. Lamperti recommends. As an alternative, you can have a convenient virtual eConsultation with Dr. Lamperti where he reviews your concerns and submitted photos and gives you a preliminary cost estimate. An in-office examination is needed prior to performing surgery itself. For out of town patients, this can be arranged along with surgery scheduling prior to your travels to the Seattle area.
I am interested facial rejuvenation. Can I bring photos of myself of when I was younger for Dr. Lamperti to see?
Dr. Lamperti encourages his patients to bring in photographs of themselves when they were younger for him to review during their consultation. These photos provide valuable information about what youthful features they naturally had in the past. It also allows patients to see the importance of facial volume restoration when contemplating rejuvenative procedures.
How long is the recovery after facelift?
Recovery times for facelift surgery vary depending on whether a standard facelift or mini-facelift was performed. A standard (traditional facelift) has a recovery of 2-3 weeks whereas a mini-lift has a recovery of about 1 week.
Is facelift surgery painful?
Most patients don't experience significant pain after surgery, although everyone does have a different pain tolerance. It is common to have more of a tightness sensation during the initial healing stage, but this resolves after a few weeks.
What kind of dressing will I have on after surgery?
Immediately after surgery Dr. Lamperti applies a large soft cotton dressing that is then removed the day after surgery. This dressing is then replaced with an elastic neck support dressing (made of Ace bandage type material) that is worn for the following week (removed for incision line care only). After this the neck support dressing is worn at night for the following few weeks to help with reducing swelling and skin healing.
Where are the incisions placed for facelift surgery?
The incisions for a facelift are hidden in front of the ear and extended up to the side burn area. The incision also travels behind the ear on onto the hair behind the ear. With a mini-lift the incision is shorter and doesn't extend as far in the area behind the ear. If necklift or neck liposuction is also performed then a small incision is placed under the chin.
Where can I read more about the facelift recovery process?
You can find our Facelift/necklift/liposuction postoperative instruction sheet here.
I wouldn't have wasted time considering other surgeons if I'd read about experiences like mine in review sites.
