Some patients have the unfortunate experience of delayed nasal tip twisting or buckling after having a rhinoplasty or nose job. I have encountered many patients who have experienced this after having surgery elsewhere and turned to me to correct their problems.
The patient shown below had a rhinoplasty about 20 years ago by a different surgeon. She then had two revisions trying to improve her tip symmetry. The patient came to me to see if anything could be done to improve her nasal tip pinching and twisting. Using an open septo-rhinoplasty approach I reconstructed her nasal tip using septal cartilage and cartilage from her right ear. She is shown before and 1 year after her revision rhinoplasty surgery.
From the base view one can better appreciate the improved symmetry and structural balance of the patient's tip.
