See before and after photos showing how Dr. Lamperti performed revision surgery on one of his patient's to improve her upper eyelid closure and address her lagophthalmos.
Upper eyelid ptosis surgery is a common procedure that we use to tighten a drooping upper eyelid muscle to treat upper lid drooping. In some cases if the eyelid is brought too high a patient may have trouble fully closing their eyelid which can lead to chronic corneal dryness and irritation.
A patient was referred to me with this situation which we were able to successfully treat using revision upper lid surgery to loosen a slightly too high eyelid. You can see before and after photos of this lagophthalmos repair here.
